Round-Weighted Confidence Analysis
We analyze all counselling rounds and give higher weight to earlier rounds since they typically have more reliable cutoffs. This provides more accurate predictions than just looking at the final round.
Round Weighting (Default Configuration)
How We Calculate Your Chances
We compare your rank with the weighted closing rank and calculate confidence based on your position:
Safe (70%+ confidence)
Your rank is significantly better than the weighted closing rank, typically with 20% or more buffer.
• Strong chance of admission
• Consider as backup options
• Good for building confidence
Moderate (45-70% confidence)
Your rank is close to the weighted closing rank, within competitive range (5-20% buffer).
• Reasonable chance of admission
• Good target options
• Fill majority of your list with these
Tough (<45% confidence)
Your rank is near or above the weighted closing rank. Admission depends on favorable conditions.
• Lower chance of admission
• Consider as reach options
• Include a few dream colleges
What We Consider
Your Position in Rank Range
Whether you're above opening rank, within the range, or near closing rank affects confidence.
Historical Round Data

Rank Range Size
Narrow rank ranges (highly competitive) get adjusted confidence compared to wider ranges.
Quota and Category
Your specific quota (AI/HS/OS) and seat category (OPEN/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) are considered.
